Good afternoon Popcorn Chairs! 

A couple quick to-dos as the summer winds down (where did it go???)

1. Popcorn Training

   If you have not taken popcorn training you have 2 changes left. The last in person training is Thursday Aug 8, at Mounds View Community Center at 7pm.

   Things you will need at that site

   4. Link to training credit sign up, which also has the supply ordering with it.

   Note: The 3% training commission will be updated by mid September.

2. Storefront Update Trail’s End is still putting in new stores and shifts in daily as they hear back from individual stores, so keep checking the portal.  Also, attached is an updated list of Stores that have NOT been confirmed by the Trail’s End team from the original Chain Store list of 17.

   Please take a moment to read the update below if you are looking for more storefronts.

   On the attached spreadsheet there are two groups:

   Group 1:
   Chain stores on the list of 17 that Trails End has NOT been able to get a hold of. You can now contact these stores directly and schedule days/shifts with the individual store. If you are successful in scheduling, please do two things. Put the date/time/store info in the Trails End Leader Portal storefront reservation system. Email Becki or I which date/time/store info you reserved and we will pass along to Trails End, so in the event of Trails End hearing back from the store (murphy’s law at work) they do not schedule over ones you already have in place.
   Group 2:
   Walmarts Most Walmarts are requiring units to register and login to a Good Spark/Deed account to schedule. But you need a 501c3 number from your unit to do so. We can not use the Council number, as they limit each 501c3 to a certain number of slots (10) . Trails End is still in contact with Walmart to try and get them to allow Trails End to be able to schedule all Walmarts in our Council. They are still working, but do not see a resolution in the near future. So if you want to contact your location Walmart and they DON’T make you use the online system, you can schedule there. If you have to use the online system, you will need to wait for Trails End to get the overall exception for the Council. If you have your own 501c3 you can schedule via the online, but most units do not have one. If you are able to schedule a Walmart, please put it in the Trails End reservation system and email Becki or me so we can update Trails End directly.
